Jongmyo



Built by King Taejo in 1394, which is the Confucian temple is made to keep the memorial tablets of kings or queens of the Joseon Dynasty as well as a place of reverence and ritual ceremonies (14th century).

Jungmyo located in the city of Seoul, South Korea one of the longest buildings in Asia that have been established by UNESCO in 1995 as a World Heritage Site. At the time of the Japanese invasion of Korea between the years 1592-1598 and Jongmyo burned up again in 1601 and still survives to this day.

In Jungmyo every month of May has always performed a ritual ceremony where Jongmyo Jerye ceremony and ritual offering prayers of people who still have a kinship with the royal family for a tribute to the late king and queen.
