Gyeongbok Palace




Gyeongbok Palace is one of the five largest palace built in the Joseon kingdom. This palace is located in the northern city of Gangbuk (Seoul), South Korea was established in 1394 by Jeong Do jeon (architect).
Gyeongbok Palace never destroyed due to the Japanese occupation in 1592-1598 and then do another development in the 1860's in an area of ​​410,000 square meters with 330 pieces of building complex which has 5792 rooms facilities.

However, after in 1895 Empress Myeongseong by Japanese spy who led the King Goyong the lead time it decided to leave the palace and never return again.
Until the end of the Government of Japan invaded Korea and destroyed the palace except the 10 main buildings, but 330 buildings have been successfully rebuilt and Gyeongbok Palace is now open to the public and the National Folk Museum of Korea (National Folk Museum of Korea) stand inside the palace.
